Motown Night at Brinsworth Social Club, Brinsworth Lane, Brinsworth, Rotherham (16.08.08)

The Motown Knights ride again…..I,m sat in the -well appointed changing rooms at Brinsworth Social Club and we’ve just done a stormer of a first set…if I say so myself. Loads of people were up dancing and enjoying themselves.

The “ice-breaker” (there’s always one) actually proved to be Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds” tonight …You know – the one the one that goes…”don’t worry ’bout a “ting”‘ cos every little ting’s gonna be alright….I’ll be putting some more scintillating stuff about this Motown Knights gig on the Top Motown Nights page…Eventually…

Emmanuel – Motown Nights mean Motown Knights

Well I’m trying something new here folks I’m actually blogging live from the venue here in Armley….I’ve even taken some photos – not that there’s much to see – or do…I’m just sat here waiting for our third and final set…. Lloyd and myself have already been told off for talkin’ on stage during Bingo – horror of horrors…

It’s a really strange thing at these clubs but when the good folk are playin’ bingo they suddenly develop bionic hearin’ or what we call “bingo ears”. When they’re in – bingo ear mode I swear they can hear a mouse fart ten miles away!

Anyway apart from that, this motown night is progressing well and the Motown Knights are sockin’ it too ‘em as per usual…Check out our Top Motown Nights page later for more scintillating news from Armley – a town famous for it’s prison….I reckon that if I hear any more – bloody bingo tonight…I might end up there myself – for GBH!
